By adding the grids of maps, Chu turns an old paper and an old album into a world—one written by silverfish, the insect that consumes and damages paper. The album was already harmed: when it was closed, silverfish wandered inside and carved tunnels that record their quiet work. When the pages are opened, those tunnels don’t just remain as damage. Aligned through the map-like grids, they reorganize into transforming landscapes—shifting from ruin into terrain, from erosion into form.
